Peppermint and Rosemary Loose Leaf Tea 50g – A Refreshing Little Favourite

Some of the loveliest things begin with a simple idea.

For us, Peppermint and Rosemary is a rather special example.

Long before Westcountry Tea Co became the business it is today, we were experimenting with tea blends and sharing them with friends. Their enthusiasm for our creations helped encourage us to take those first steps.

And Peppermint and Rosemary was one of the blends that started it all.

Our Peppermint and Rosemary Loose Leaf Tea 50g combines the wonderfully fresh, cooling flavour of peppermint with the fragrant, slightly woody character of rosemary.

The result is a beautifully balanced herbal infusion that’s refreshing, aromatic and naturally caffeine-free.

It’s a lovely cuppa for any time of day, whether you’re enjoying a quiet moment in the morning, taking a break in the afternoon or settling down for the evening.

And because it’s just as delicious served chilled over ice, there’s no need to save it for cooler weather.

A little taste of the herb garden, whatever the season.

Two Familiar Herbs, One Lovely Cuppa

Peppermint and rosemary are two herbs that many of us know from our gardens and kitchens.

Yet when they’re brought together in a tea, they create something rather special.

Peppermint provides the fresh, cooling character that makes this infusion so immediately recognisable.

Its naturally occurring aromatic oils give it that distinctive minty fragrance and a clean, refreshing finish.

Rosemary brings a different personality to the cup.

With its fragrant, gently woody and slightly pine-like notes, rosemary adds depth to the freshness of peppermint.

Rather than competing with each other, the two herbs work beautifully together.

The peppermint keeps the infusion bright and lively, while the rosemary provides a softer, aromatic background.

It’s a simple combination, but one with plenty of character.

And sometimes two ingredients are quite enough to make a very good cup of tea.

What Does Peppermint and Rosemary Loose Leaf Tea Taste Like?

Our Peppermint and Rosemary Loose Leaf Tea offers a refreshing minty flavour with a gently aromatic herbal finish.

The first impression is the cool, clean freshness of peppermint.

As the flavour develops, the rosemary introduces its distinctive fragrant notes, adding a little more depth than you’d find in a pure peppermint infusion.

The result is a smooth, refreshing herbal tea with a lovely balance between mint and garden herbs.

There’s a natural freshness to the blend that makes it particularly enjoyable without milk or sugar.

You can appreciate the individual herbs while still enjoying the way their flavours come together.

The aroma is equally inviting, with the unmistakable fragrance of peppermint softened by rosemary’s aromatic character.

It’s a lovely alternative when you fancy something a little more interesting than an ordinary mint tea.

Fresh, fragrant and rather moreish.

A Blend That Helped Start Westcountry Tea Co

Every small business has a beginning, and ours involved plenty of cups of tea.

When we first began creating blends, we shared them with friends and listened to what they thought.

Their enthusiasm gave us the encouragement to keep experimenting and eventually turn our love of tea into Westcountry Tea Co.

Peppermint and Rosemary was one of those early favourites.

It’s rather lovely to think that a simple combination of two familiar herbs helped play a part in the story of a tea company that’s been going since 2010.

Although our range has grown over the years, there’s still something special about the blends that were there at the beginning.

They remind us why we started.

Good flavour, good company and the pleasure of sharing a proper cuppa.

And that’s still very much what Westcountry Tea Co is about today.

Naturally Caffeine-Free – Enjoy It Whenever You Fancy

Because this blend contains peppermint and rosemary rather than traditional black or green tea leaves, it’s naturally caffeine-free.

That makes it a lovely choice for anyone looking to reduce their caffeine intake or simply wanting a refreshing herbal infusion at any time of day.

Enjoy it after breakfast, during an afternoon break or as a gentle alternative to your usual evening cuppa.

Its fresh, aromatic character is particularly lovely after a meal, when you fancy something clean and minty.

And because the herbs provide plenty of flavour themselves, there’s no need for milk or added sugar.

Although a little honey can be rather nice if you prefer a sweeter infusion.

It’s a wonderfully straightforward tea that fits easily into everyday life.

No special occasion needed.

The Pleasure of Brewing Loose Leaf Herbal Tea

There’s something rather satisfying about preparing a pot of loose leaf tea.

You can see the individual herbs, enjoy their fragrance as they infuse and adjust the strength to suit your taste.

A roomy infuser or teapot allows the peppermint and rosemary to circulate freely in the water, helping their natural flavours develop.

And because you’re using loose leaf tea, you can decide whether you prefer a lighter, more delicate infusion or a stronger, more pronounced herbal character.

A little less tea produces a gentler mint flavour.

A little more brings out the full freshness of peppermint and the fragrant character of rosemary.

It’s entirely up to you.

Sometimes the simple act of making a pot of tea is part of the pleasure.

Especially when the kitchen begins to smell like a freshly picked herb garden.

How to Brew Peppermint and Rosemary Loose Leaf Tea

For a wonderfully refreshing cup, we suggest:

  • Use approximately one heaped teaspoon of loose leaf tea per person, around 2g.
  • Pour over freshly boiled water at 100°C.
  • Allow the herbs to infuse for approximately 3–7 minutes, depending on your preferred strength.
  • Strain and enjoy.

For a lighter infusion, begin with a shorter brewing time.

If you prefer a stronger minty flavour, allow the herbs to infuse a little longer.

Peppermint and Rosemary is generally best enjoyed without milk, allowing the fresh and aromatic flavours to shine through.

A little honey can be added if you prefer a sweeter cup, although the blend is lovely just as it is.

These brewing suggestions are simply a starting point.

After all, the perfect cuppa is the one that tastes right to you.

Refreshing Peppermint and Rosemary Iced Tea

Although Peppermint and Rosemary is delicious served warm, it also makes a wonderfully refreshing iced tea.

The naturally cooling character of peppermint works beautifully with chilled water, while rosemary adds an interesting aromatic twist.

For a simple iced herbal tea:

  1. Add approximately two teaspoons of Peppermint and Rosemary Loose Leaf Tea to 250ml of freshly boiled water.
  2. Allow the herbs to infuse for 5–7 minutes.
  3. Strain and leave to cool.
  4. Add 250ml of cold water.
  5. Serve over plenty of ice.

For an extra refreshing touch, add a slice of lemon or a few fresh mint leaves.

You could also include a small sprig of rosemary for a lovely finishing touch.

It’s a delicious alternative to sugary soft drinks and a particularly nice choice for garden gatherings or warm afternoons.

And because it’s naturally caffeine-free, it’s a refreshing drink that everyone can enjoy whenever they fancy.

A little sunshine certainly suits this blend.

A Lovely Herbal Tea for Every Season

Peppermint and Rosemary isn’t a blend that belongs to any particular time of year.

On cooler days, its fresh aroma is lovely rising from a warm mug.

During warmer weather, it’s wonderfully refreshing served over ice with a slice of lemon.

It’s equally at home as a morning cuppa, an afternoon break or a naturally caffeine-free evening drink.

And because the blend contains just two familiar herbs, its flavour remains beautifully uncomplicated.

There’s something rather comforting about that.

No elaborate ingredients or complicated rituals.

Just peppermint, rosemary and a good cuppa.
