Camomile Loose Leaf Tea 30g – A Little Floral Loveliness in Every Cup

Our Camomile Loose Leaf Tea 30g is a beautifully simple herbal infusion made from pure camomile flowers.

With its lovely buttercup-yellow colour, naturally sweet floral taste and wonderfully fragrant aroma, it’s one of those traditional herbal teas that has been enjoyed for generations.

There’s something particularly charming about camomile.

The little daisy-like flowers might look rather unassuming, but they produce a beautifully aromatic infusion with a gentle, rounded flavour.

It’s a lovely choice when you fancy something lighter than a traditional black tea, without losing the pleasure of a proper cuppa.

Naturally caffeine-free, camomile can be enjoyed at any time of day.

Whether you’re starting the morning gently, taking a little break in the afternoon or settling down with a favourite book, there’s always room for a mug of this floral favourite.

And sometimes the simplest teas are the loveliest.

What Is Camomile Tea?

Camomile is a traditional herbal infusion made from the flowers of the camomile plant.

Unlike black, green or white tea, camomile doesn’t come from the tea plant, Camellia sinensis.

Instead, the dried flowers are infused in hot water to create a fragrant, naturally caffeine-free drink.

Camomile flowers are often compared to tiny daisies, with their delicate petals and sunny yellow centres.

Their gentle floral character has made camomile a familiar favourite in tea cupboards for many generations.

Our Camomile Loose Leaf Tea contains pure camomile flowers, allowing you to enjoy their natural flavour without additional herbs or flavourings.

Just one beautifully fragrant ingredient.

Sometimes that’s all a good cuppa needs.

What Does Camomile Loose Leaf Tea Taste Like?

Our Camomile Loose Leaf Tea produces a lovely buttercup-yellow infusion with a naturally sweet, floral flavour.

The taste is gentle and rounded, with a delicate herbal character that makes it particularly easy to enjoy.

Its aroma is wonderfully fragrant, with the soft floral notes that make camomile so recognisable.

Unlike a strong breakfast tea, camomile has a lighter character and doesn’t need milk to make a satisfying cup.

There’s a natural sweetness to the flowers, so we’d suggest trying it just as it is before adding anything.

If you prefer a sweeter brew, a little honey can be rather lovely.

And because the flavour is delicate rather than overpowering, it’s a pleasant choice when you fancy something simple and fragrant.

A little sunshine in the teapot, whatever the weather.

The Beauty of Pure Camomile Flowers

One of the loveliest things about loose leaf camomile is being able to see the flowers themselves.

Before the water goes in, you can appreciate the dried flower heads and their delicate natural fragrance.

As the hot water meets the flowers, they begin to release their flavour and aroma, gradually turning the water a beautiful golden-yellow colour.

It’s a rather lovely transformation.

And because our Camomile Loose Leaf Tea contains only camomile flowers, there’s nothing to distract from their natural character.

No elaborate blend of ingredients.

No unnecessary additions.

Just pure camomile and the simple pleasure of a beautifully fragrant herbal infusion.

Naturally Caffeine-Free

Camomile is naturally caffeine-free, making it a lovely alternative to traditional black or green tea.

There’s no decaffeination process involved because camomile flowers don’t naturally contain caffeine.

This means you can enjoy a mug whenever you fancy something floral and fragrant without adding caffeine to your day.

It’s lovely in the morning, during an afternoon break or as an evening cuppa.

Camomile is often associated with quiet moments and familiar routines, but there’s no reason to save it for bedtime.

It’s just as enjoyable alongside breakfast or as a refreshing drink during the afternoon.

A good herbal tea doesn’t need to check the clock.

A Traditional Herbal Favourite

Camomile has a long history of being enjoyed as a herbal infusion.

Its distinctive daisy-like flowers and gentle fragrance have made it a familiar sight in gardens and a favourite ingredient in herbal teas.

Although camomile is often associated with relaxation, we think its appeal is much simpler.

It tastes lovely.

Its naturally sweet floral flavour makes it a pleasant change from stronger teas, and its delicate aroma adds something special to an ordinary tea break.

There’s a quiet charm to a traditional drink that has remained popular for so long.

And it’s rather nice to know that some things don’t need reinventing.

A good teapot, a handful of fragrant flowers and a little time are quite enough.

The Pleasure of Brewing Loose Leaf Camomile

Loose leaf camomile is particularly lovely to prepare because you can see the flowers as they infuse.

A roomy tea infuser or teapot gives them space to move through the water, allowing their natural flavour to develop.

As the infusion turns buttercup yellow, the sweet floral aroma begins to rise from the cup.

It’s one of those teas where the fragrance is very much part of the enjoyment.

And because you’re using loose flowers, you can adjust the quantity to suit your taste.

A little less produces a lighter, more delicate infusion.

A little more brings out a fuller floral character.

It’s entirely up to you.

After all, everyone has their own idea of the perfect cuppa.

How to Brew Camomile Loose Leaf Tea

For a beautifully fragrant cup, we suggest:

  • Use approximately one heaped teaspoon of camomile flowers per person, around 1-2g.
  • Pour over freshly boiled water at 100°C.
  • Allow the flowers to infuse for approximately 3–7 minutes.
  • Strain and enjoy.

These are suggested brewing instructions; adjust the amount and infusion time to suit your taste.

For a lighter floral flavour, begin with a shorter infusion.

If you enjoy a fuller camomile character, allow the flowers to brew a little longer.

Camomile is generally best enjoyed without milk, allowing its naturally sweet floral notes to shine through.

A little honey can be added if you prefer a sweeter cup.

But we’d recommend trying it on its own first.

Sometimes the flowers do all the work.

A Lovely Tea for Quiet Moments

There’s something particularly appealing about a cup of camomile when you fancy a few minutes to yourself.

Its gentle floral flavour makes a lovely companion to a book, a little gardening or a quiet afternoon at home.

It’s also a pleasant alternative when you don’t fancy another cup of black tea.

And because it’s naturally caffeine-free, it’s easy to make part of your usual tea-drinking routine.

There’s no need for a special occasion.

Sometimes the simple pleasure of putting the kettle on and enjoying a beautifully fragrant cuppa is quite enough.

Camomile Tea with Honey and Lemon

Pure camomile is lovely enjoyed just as it is, but it also works beautifully with a few simple additions.

A little honey complements the natural sweetness of the flowers.

A thin slice of lemon adds a fresh citrus note, creating a brighter, more refreshing cup.

You could also add a slice of orange for a gentler citrus character.

There’s no need to add everything at once.

Start with the pure infusion, then experiment with the flavours you enjoy.

The gentle character of camomile makes it wonderfully versatile.

And because the flowers already have such a lovely fragrance, a little goes a long way.

Refreshing Camomile Iced Tea

Camomile isn’t just for hot drinks.

Its naturally sweet floral flavour makes a beautifully refreshing iced herbal infusion, particularly when served with fresh fruit.

For a simple iced Camomile Tea:

  1. Add approximately two heaped teaspoons of camomile flowers to 250ml of freshly boiled water.
  2. Allow the flowers to infuse for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Strain and add 250ml of cold water.
  4. Leave to cool, then refrigerate until chilled.
  5. Serve over plenty of ice.

For a lovely finishing touch, add a slice of orange, a few strawberries or a sprig of fresh mint.

If you prefer a sweeter iced tea, stir a little honey into the warm infusion before chilling.

It’s a lovely alternative to ordinary iced tea, especially when you fancy something naturally caffeine-free.

And the buttercup-yellow colour looks rather cheerful in a glass.

A Floral Infusion for Every Season

Although camomile’s golden colour might bring to mind sunshine and summer flowers, it’s a tea to enjoy all year round.

On cooler mornings, a freshly brewed mug is lovely when you fancy something gentle and fragrant.

During warmer weather, it’s beautifully refreshing served over ice with a little fresh fruit.

It’s equally enjoyable during an afternoon break or as a naturally caffeine-free evening cuppa.

And because it’s made from pure camomile flowers, its flavour remains wonderfully straightforward.

A simple, traditional herbal infusion with plenty of charm.
